Irish/Northern Irish Census records. Most if not all records from 1901 and 1911 are available. Sadly due to a fire and war most of 1851, 1841, 1831, 1821 census records are destroyed.
PRONI house is where most Church, Street, Census, Ulster Covinenant, Land Free Holders, Will Records as well as lots more are kept. You will need to have an idea of what you are going to look for. They will find documents for you but they charge.
NI Direct is a site where you can view Births 1864-1915, Marriages 1845-1930, Deaths 1864-1965 and WWII Deaths. This site charges so make sure anything that you buy you take a photo of or print.
This site does not just cover Bangor but most of Ards and North Down. It is has records, photos, maps and much more usfull bits and pieces. This site really helped me with the Conroy and Nelson Side of my Family Tree.
Good info on the railway running through Comber and Ards. Some cracking photos.
This site has alot of info on the BDCR railway but with more detail regarding Dundonald Comber Ards again nice photos.
This site has everything you need to know about the late great war hero. Not only that but it has alot of good photographs of newtownards also.
